The start of the 2014 Formula One season is just over a week away and tyre supplier Pirelli have become the latest company to make a big announcement.
This morning the Italian manufacturer confirmed that it will sponsor both the Spanish and the Hungarian Grand Prix from this season onwards. The agreement, described as a title sponsorship will see a great amount of Pirelli branding trackside.
Pirelli are the latest company to increase their presence in Formula One as Santander, and Shell are all involved in circuit sponsorship. Pirelli took over the sports tyre supply contract in 2011 when Bridgestone opted to pull out of the sport and the Italian manufacturer has recently extended its agreement up until and including the 2016 Formula One season.
