Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene has revealed that Kimi Raikkonen is a ‘very sensitive guy’ and needs the full support of the Maranello based outfit which will lead to extremely strong performances from the Finn such as those in Malaysia and China.

Raikkonen is into his second year of his second stint with Scuderia Ferrari and has so far been outperformed by his four time world championship winning team mate and friend Sebastian Vettel who joined the team over the winter. The German has been on the podium in all of the Grand Prix so far in 2015 which includes a race win at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Raikkonen on the other hand has had a mixed start to the season as he failed to finish the first race of the due to mistake from the team in a pit-stop while in Malaysia and China the Iceman ended the race in fourth place.

Arrivabene revealed that is very straight with Kimi and always speaks to him face to face and this is the way the Finn likes it.

The Italian described Kimi’s performance at the Malaysian Grand Prix as wonderful. Following the race which Vettel won, Arrivabene went to find the Iceman and gave a big hug.

Arrivabene also stated that with the team working with Kimi and supporting him he can achieve great results. Raikkonen himself believes that the Maranello based outfit can win the championship as SF15-T is an extremely competitive car and they have already proven with Vettel in Malaysia, it is a race winning car.
