Rosberg won't hesitate to say the same thing again if the situation warrants a similar response

Mercedes Nico Rosberg has apologised to Lewis Hamilton and the team for his outburst during the Chinese Grand Prix where he accused Hamilton of deliberately slowing down to take the victory and backing up Rosberg into Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, however the German has admitted that he would not hesitate to do the same thing again in the future if he felt a situation arose that warranted such a response.

Hamilton stated over the radio that he was struggling with his tyres and that was managing the situation. Mercedes Executive Director (Business) Toto Wolff stated that the reigning world champion did nothing wrong. Rosberg believes that the media’s reaction to the situation was blown out of proportion.

Rosberg admitted that Hamilton and his desire to win the race in China had put the Brackley based outfit in a very difficult position. The team came away with their 1-2 finish of the season with Hamilton taking the victory ahead of Nico Rosberg while the double world champion also took pole position for the team.

Rosberg is currently in third place in the championship. 17 points and one place below team mate Lewis Hamilton.

Rosberg heads into Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix hoping to gain the edge of Hamilton however he has conceded that his reaction last weekend may have given Lewis Hamilton a psychological advantage in the championship battle.
