In a move that would make Homer Simpson proud the FIA have today confirmed that post race donut celebrations will be allowed for the race winner of at the conclusion of a Grand Prix. The news comes following the events of last season where Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel was punished for conducting pot race donuts.

The sporting regulation's have been adapted to allow the donuts. The amendment now says that the winning driver may perform an act of celebration provided that

A. It is performed safely and does not endanger other driver or any race officials
B. Does not call into question the legality of his car
C. Does not delay the podium ceremony

Formula One is not the only motorsport to allow donuts and the American IndyCar Series allow donuts as does the NASCAR Series.
