Perez leads Mercedes powered 1,2,3 on the morning of day one of the final winter test in Bahrain

The final winter test of 2014 got underway at the Bahrain International Circuit this morning with all team's in action.
 
Force India's Sergio 'Checco' Perez set the benchmark time this morning of  1m 35.270s, 1.7 seconds ahead of Mercedes Nico Rosberg and McLaren's Kevin Magnussen in third place for the Woking based team.
 
Adrian Sutil was fourth fastest for the Sauber F1 Team showing that the C33 has great pace. The Red Bull Racing team have had much better start to the final winter test of the pre-season campaign then any of the other tests as Daniel Ricciardo set the fifth fastest time in the RB10.
 
Valtteri Bottas is currently 6th for the Williams F1 Team just a day after the outfit announced that that they have signed Rob Smedley as Head of Vehicle Performance.
 
Daniil Kvyat was 7th for Toro Rosso while Kimi Raikkonen was 8th for Ferrari as the Italian team continue with development of the F14T.
 
Pastor Maldonado was 9th for the Lotus F1 Team. The Venezuelan brought out the red flag just before lunch as his E22 stopped out on track.
 
Max Chilton was 10th for the Marussia F1 Team while Caterham's Kamui Kobayashi was 11th for the Leafield based outfit 8.7 seconds behind Perez's fastest time.
