No new front wing for Button for the rest of the weekend

McLaren Mercedes Jenson Button has confirmed that he will not run the Peter Pedromou developed front wing on Saturday. 

The 2009 world champion confirmed that he would not run the new wing as a result of being able to properly, He went on to say that due to time constraints on Saturday he would not run the wing for the rest of the weekend.

Kevin Magnussen will however run the wing for the rest of the weekend including in Sunday's race. The Dane was also running the new wing on Friday and in the second session he finished in third place in behind the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

Button was asked about how his day went but he instead that there was a good selection of ice creams and that he had enjoyed the coffee's he had during the day.

During the first practice session when the team were sorting out his suspension Button took to Twitter to say:

'Great to see @MercedesAMGF1 have got a lot of competition here in Abu Dhabi!!! 1.7 second gap!

Button has also admitted that Sunday's race could be his last in Formula One as McLaren have yet to decide on who will be the teams two drivers next season with Fernando Alonso hotly tipped to join McLaren after it was confirmed on Thursday that Fernando Alonso will leave Ferrari at the end of th season and will be replaced by quadruple world champion Sebastian Vettel.

Button has stated that if he will not be at McLaren next season he could potentially be up for a move to the World Endurance Championship next season.
