Wehrlein fastest for Mercedes on final morning of the Abu Dhabi end of season test as Marciello makes debut for Ferrari

Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team's test driver Pascal Wehrlein set the fastest time of this morning's test as the final day of the end of season Formula One test got underway at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. Wehrlein, who took over testing duties from Nico Rosberg completed 42 laps and his fastest was a 1m 44.557s.

Following a difficult opening day on Tuesday, Toro Rosso's Max Verstappen who crashed following a front suspension failure ended the second morning is second place ahead of his Formula One race debut with the Italian team ahead of his Formula One race debut in Australia next season. The Dutch driver set a fastest time of 1m 45.222 completing 63 laps, the most of any driver this morning.

Ferrari's Raffaele Marciello, making his Formula One debut with Scuderia Ferrari set the third fastest time of the morning session as the Italian completed 49 laps with a fastest time of 1m 45.376s. Marciello who is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy took over the F14-T from Kimi Raikkonen.

Infiniti Red Bull Racing team's Daniel Ricciardo was fourth fastest for the Milton Keynes based outfit setting a best time of 1m 45.666s completing 60 laps.

Felipe Nasr, taking part in his final test for the Williams Martini Racing Team before moving to a race seat at the Sauber F1 Team in 2915 was fifth fastest for the Grove based outfit. The Brazilian set a fastest time of 1m 45.937s having completed 21 laps.

The Lotus F1 Team's Esteban Ocon was driving the E22 having taken over the car from Charles Pic. The Frenchman completed 21 laps and set a fastest time of 1m 47.014s, GP3 champion Alex Lynn will take over the cockpit of the E22 this afternoon to make his Formula One debut with the Enstone based outfit.

The Sauber F1 Team's Marcus Ericsson was back in the C33 on Wednesday with the Swedish driver having set the seventh fastest time of the morning completing 34 laps setting a fastest time of 1m 47.173s.

The Caterham F1 Team's Will Stevens was back in the car on Wednesday after making an impressive Formula Onw debut at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last weekend with the English setting the eighth fastest time on Wednesday morning completing 43 laps and setting a fastest time of 1m 48.348s.

Australian Spike Goddard made his Formula One debut with the Sahara Force India Formula One team on Wednesday having taken over the VJM07 from GP2 champion Joylon Palmer Goddard finished this morning's session in ninth place completing 33 laps with a fastest time of 1m 48.728s.

McLaren-Honda's Stoffel Vandoorne was last of the runners in 10th place as the Woking based outfit had more technical issues with their new Honda power unit.
