Mercedes 1-2 in final practice at the Circuit of the Americas

Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team's Lewis Hamilton picked up The 2008 world champion set the on Saturday morning where he left off on Friday leading the field in the final practice ahead of this afternoon's qualifying session for tomorrow's United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas,

The 2008 world champion set the fastest time of 1m 37.107s finishing just 0.883s ahead of team mate Nico Rosberg who suffered from a glazed rear brake dic.

It was a great session for the Williams Martini Racing Team as Felipe Massa finished the session in third place 1.107s behind Hamilton while Valtteri Bottas was fourth fastest for the Grove based outfit. Fernando Alonso was fifth fastest for Ferrari just ahead of Infiniti Red Bull Racing's Daniel Ricciardo.

Nico Hulkenberg did a fantastic job for the Sahara Force India F1 Team as the German finished the session in 7th place just ahead of the Sauber F1 Team's Adrian Sutil who placed the Swiss based team in the top ten for the first time this season ending the session in 8th place just ahead of Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.

McLaren Mercedes Jenson Button rounded out the top ten 2.134s behind Hamilton. Kevin Magnussen was 11th in the second McLaren just ahead of the Lotus F1 Team's Pastor Maldonado who did a great job for the Enstone based outfit.

Romain Grosjean finished the session just behind his Lotus team mate in 13th place while Sahara Force India's Sergio Perez ended the session in 14th place while Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat was 15th just ahead of the Sauber F1 Team's Esteban Gutierrez.

Jean Eric Vergne was 17th for the Toro Rosso F1 Team while reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel concentrated on his race set up and rounded out the runners in 18th place.
