Team's deny United States Grand Prix boycott threat

(Sahara Force India Formula One Team)

Sahara Force India F1 Team principal and managing director Dr Vijay Mallya has dismissed media reports that emerged on Friday night that his team along the Sauber and the Lotus F1 Team had all threatened to pull out of Sunday's United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas.

The Times reported on Friday that the three teams had decided to boycott the race due to the current financial standing within the sport which has seen both the Caterham and Marussia F1 Team's enter administration in the last week.

Speaking to BBC F1' Jennie Gowe, Mallya categorically denied that any such threat to boycott the United States Grand Prix 'a key market for Formula One.'.

The sport needs to find a way of distributing the revenue more evenly among the team's.
