The McLaren Honda Formula One team fired up their 2015
challenger, the MP4-30 for the first time on Monday afternoon ahead of the cars official
launch at the McLaren Technology Centre on Thursday.
The team have confirmed that Fernando Alonso will drive the
new car on the opening day of the Jerez winter test which gets underway on
Sunday. Jenson Button will then take over of Monday before Alonso is back on
the car on Tuesday. Button will complete the test programme on Wednesday.
