Former Brawn GP owner and Mercedes team principal Ross Brawn has confirmed that he is not actively seeking a role within Formula One amid reports that he has held talks with Ferrari over a return to the Italian team where he oversaw Michael Schumacher's dominance of the sport from 2000 - 2004.
Speaking about the reports, Brawn told Auto Motor Und Sport:
'I think at the moment I don't have a role at Ferrari or anywhere else.'
Brawn also reiterated the fact that his visit to Ferrari in May was purely a private visit where they only discussed the theoretical possibility of the 59 year old returning to Maranello.
Brawn also confirmed that he is enjoying the fact that he is not working in F1 at the moment and is currently pursuing other interests outside of Formula One which he never got the chance to do while he was involved in the sport.
However the English has left the door open for a possible return to the sport should the right option for him become available.
Brawn also went on to ask Ferrari fans to give team boss Marco Mattiacci the chance to make his mark on the Italian team.
