Mercedes AMG F1 Team driver Lewis Hamilton has stated that he is running out of time to catch championship leader and team mate Nico Rosberg as Formula One gets ready for the final six Grand Prix of the season. Despite winning six race's this season compared to Nico Rosberg's four the 2008 world champion finds himself trailing Rosberg by 22 points.
Hamilton has had his fair share of issues this season and has stated that he and the team need to have an error free run in to the championship.
Hamilton retired from the opening race of the season Down Under in Melbourne Australia, a race which saw Rosberg take victory. Hamilton stated that he 'can't afford to lose anything'. The 2008 world champion has also stayed that his goal is to keep his side of the garage motivated for the rest of the season and they too have had a tough season after seeing his car go up in flames during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix earlier this season.
Hamilton then retired from the Belgian Grand Prix which was the first race after the Summer break. However the Brit took victory last time out in Monza, Italy so he will be hoping for a repeat in Singapore this weekend.
Hamilton has finished on the podium in all but three race's this season. The three race's he was off the podium were in Australia, Canada and Belgium.
Rosberg on the other hand has just the one retirement when he failed to finish the British Grand Prix in Silverstone, a race which saw Hamilton take the win. Rosberg followed this up by taking victory at his home race in Germany.
