The Sauber F1 Team fully expect to be on the gird next season according to team principal Monisha Keltenborn.
The Swiss based outfit have endured an extremely difficult 2014 Formula One season which see the team in 10th place in the Constructors championship yet to score a point this season with six Grand Prix to go this season.
When asked if the team will be on the grid next season, Keltenborn stated:
'We plan to be,'
She went on to say:
'It's tough, and it's going to remain tough for a while because it's not easy for any team today to find sponsorship, The budgets have gone up, although there's not going to be much of a difference from this year to next as we can benefit from developments we have done this year.'
The team have been linked with a buy out by Canadian businessman Lawrence Stroll who had expressed interest in the team however when asked about the current negotiations, Keltenborn refused to make any comment.
Keltenborn went on to say:
'As to the fact we've not scored a point yet, it's not easy to sell (sponsorship) when you have no points. On the other hand, when you're a team like ours that has been in Formula One for so long, people who know more about the sport can see what the team is capable of doing, what we have, what our assets are.'
