BREAKING: Vettel to miss FP2 due to engine change

(Florent Gooden DPPI ffor Renault Sport F1)

Reigning world champion Infiniti Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel will be forced to sit out the second practice session ahead of this Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix. The German suffered an engine failure at the very end of the session which has meant that the team had to replace the Renault power unit which takes up to 3 and half hours.

Infiniti Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner commented saying that the change would 'fruitless' so it is unlikely that we will see Vettel on track this afternoon.

The fact that the German will miss the session puts extra pressure on Daniel Ricciardo in the second RB10 as he will be sharing what he finds on the Super soft Pirelli compound as Vettel will be running it this afternoon.
