Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal was absolutely delighted with Kimi Raikkonen’s race performance in Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai Circuit.

The Iceman who qualified for the race in sixth place made a fantastic start getting past both the Williams Martini Racing Team drivers Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas going into T1 and T2. The Finn went on to challenge team mate Sebastian Vettel for the final spot on the podium but had to settle for fourth place.

The Finn has now secured two fourth place finishes in a row following his fantastic drive last time out in Malaysia two weeks ago.

Speaking to Sky Sports F1 HD’s Ted Kravitz after the race Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene said that he was ‘very very happy’ with Raikkonen’s performance in race and now they are getting the best out of both Seb and Kimi.

Raikkonen stated after the race that the team should be happy with where he finished following a difficult qualifying on Saturday and he is hopeful that they can improve this next weekend in Bahrain.

Following the Chinese Grand Prix Scuderia Ferrari head to the Bahrain Grand Prix in second place in the Constructors championship on 79 points, 40 behind the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.
