Infiniti Red Bull Racing have confirmed that they have
extended their innovation partnership with FLIR.
The two year contract extension will begin this season and
will see FLIR thermal cameras used to collect critical data about the car’s
components and operations. Speaking about the extension of their partnership,
Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner stated:
‘FLIR technology has proven to be a vital part
of our research and development activity throughout the 2014 season and I’m
delighted that we’ve been able to renew the partnership. FLIR’s
unrivalled capabilities in this area complement our own expertise and this is
another example of Infiniti Red Bull Racing seeking expertise from a
best-in-class supplier to help us improve our operation.’
Tom Surran, COO of FLIR commented by saying:
