Mercedes would consider driver change

(Mercedes AMG F1 Team)

Mercedes motorsport boss Toto Wolff has admitted that the team would consider a driver change if their driver's Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have a repeat of the racing incident that occurred at the Belgian Grand Prix two weeks ago.

In an interview with BBC Radio Five Live Wolff commented:

'We would have to take decisions and take the consequences of having a different line-up. If we are not able to manage to two of them following the Mercedes-Benz spirit then we need to admit that'.

Wolff once again reiterated that the incident in Spa Francorchamps was unacceptable and that the team never went to see an incident like that happen again.

He commented that that as a team they need to keep the situation balanced and has confirmed that the team will not make publicly talk about the sanctions handed down following the incident in Belgium.

Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team are still on target to win the Constructors championship early so they will be hoping that there will be no more issues between their drivers over the course of the remaining seven Grand Prix.
