We're realistic about where we are, and what we can achieve

Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel has said that the team need to be ‘realistic about where we are and what we can achieve’. The German was speaking to the media on Thursday ahead of this weekend’s Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit.

The four time world champion took what many believe was a surprising victory last time out at the Malaysian Grand Prix however as his team mate Kimi Raikkonen said in his preview for China, the team knew going into the season following their strong performance in Winter testing that they have a competitive package with the SF15-T.

Despite taking victory by over eight seconds in Malaysia, Vettel has played down the chances of a repeat result this weekend saying that the aim is to be second behind Mercedes.

Vettel goes into this weekend’s race in second place in the champion on 40 points, just three behind Lewis Hamilton following his third place finish in the opening race of the season in Australia last month and his victory last time out in Malaysia.
