Can Williams continue their points scoring run in Monaco next weekend?

The Williams Martini Racing Team head to the Monaco Grand Prix next weekend having scored yet more points last time out at the Spanish Grand Prix at the Barcelona Circuit de Catalunya.

Valtteri Bottas started the Spanish Grand Prix in fourth place in the race and went on to finish the Grand Prix in 5th place collecting ten points for Grove based outfit. The team have overtaken McLaren in the Constructors championship, three points ahead of the Woking based squad and eleven behind the Force India Formula One Team.

Valtteri Bottas has now scored points in every race of the 2014 Formula One season, while Felipe Massa last scored points at the Bahrain Grand Prix at the start of April.

The last Grand Prix in Barcelona last weekend was an extremely strong race for Bottas and was in third place for a substantial part of the race losing out just before the end of the race. Heading to Monaco last year Felipe Massa had scored 45 points compared to the 12 points that he has so far this season.

The circuit characteristics in Monte Carlo should suit the Williams FW36 and a strong qualifying performance is key in ensuring that the team have a great race result. The last time the Williams F1 Team scored a podium finish around the Principality was in 2005 when the team achieved a double podium as Nick Heidfield finished the race in second place with Mark Webber finishing the race in third place behind race winner Kimi Raikkonen.

Williams Martini Racing will be hopeful that they will be in a position to challenge for a podium next weekend following an extremely strong result in Barcelona.
