New race gear for Hulkenberg and Perez as Force India extend Alpine Stars partnership

Sahara Force India Formula One Team driver's Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez will have new race suites starting at this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix after the Silverstone based outfit extended their long standing partnership with the Italian clothing manufacturer.

Speaking about the new agreement, Sahara Force India's COO Otmar Szafnauer said:

'We are delighted to continue our association with Alpinestars who do a fantastic job of supplying us with all our technical wear. Alpinestars are an iconic and respected brand with a history of innovation and an unwavering commitment to excellence, and we at Sahara Force India identify strongly with these values. The new suits match performance with style, an approach that is in line with our brand's evolution in the last twelve months.'


Alpine Stars was founded in 1963 and has a rich heritage in motorsport as they are involved in supplying protective to clothing to Formula One, IndyCar and NASCAR (in America), World Superbikes, MotoGP, The Dakar and Rally Cross.

Force India and Alpine Stars began their partnership in 2008 and the new agreement between the two parties reinforces their commitment to each other. Alpine Star not only supply driver race suits but they also provide the team's pit-crew with protective clothing and footwear.

Speaking about the new deal, Alpine Stars President and CEO Gabriele Mazzarolo (The son of company founder, Sante Mazzarolo) said:

'Alpinestars has been innovating performance products for the world’s top motorsports athletes for over 50 years. The suits that we develop for Sahara Force India’s drivers and race team are state-of-the-art and offer performance-enhancing technology which will help Nico and Sergio, both in Monte Carlo and as we continuously develop our technology throughout the rest of the season.'
