Infiniti Red Bull Racing have confirmed that reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel will get a brand new chassis for the next race, the Singapore Grand Prix in just two weeks time. The Milton Keynes based outfit are hoping that the change will help the German to secure his first victory of the 2014 season.
Vettel has endured an extremely disappointing season so far having yet to lead a lap in a Grand Prix this season and finds himself in sixth place in the championship on 106 points, 60 behind new team mate Daniel Ricciardo who has done an absolutely fantastic job so far this season having taken three victories so far this season.
At last weekend's Italian Grand Prix the team opted to rotate Vettel's chassis as he used one from earlier this season however he struggled for pace during the race and eventually finished the race in 6th place.
Speaking about Vettel's season Infiniti Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner said that he feels that the final part of the season will be a stronger one for the German as he has out performed his team mate Daniel Ricciardo in qualifying sessions recently and Horner feels that the new chassis will help the four time world champion to get on to of the car.
Infiniti Red Bull Racing head into the flyaway race's in second place in the Constructors championship on 272 points with Daniel Ricciardo still in with an outside chance of winning this season's drivers championship with six Grand Prix to go.
