(NBCNEWS.com)

Scuderia Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemelo has denied claims that he is set to leave his role with the Italian team. 'After my family, there is nothing more important than Ferrari.'

Di Montezemelo has not denied that he may take up a non executive role on on the board of the new venture as he does not want to let it interfere with his commitments to Ferrari.

The Italian team have struggled so far this season in relation to their performance again Mercedes and Red Bull and have just scored two podium finishes with Fernando Alonso finishing the Chinese Grand Prix in third place while in Hungary last time out the Spaniard finished in second place.
