GP2 driver and current Williams Martini Racing test and reserve driver Felipe Nasr has confirmed that he could be on the Formula One grid in 2015 with a race seat at the Sauber F1 Team 'possible'. The Brazilian who has driven for the Williams team in a number of Friday practice sessions has said that he has begun talks about a Formula One drive.

He could face still competition for a drive at Sauber however as their affiliate driver Simona De Silvestro, young driver Sergey Siroktin along with their regular race drivers of Adrian Sutil and Esteban Gutierrez are all potential candidates to drive with the team next season,

Nasr has also stated that he would be interested in a drive with Sahara Force India however Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez will remain with the Silverstone based team next season according to team boss Vijay Mallya who has been extremely impressed with their performances this season.

Nasr also stated that he is being realistic with Williams and does not expect a drive with the Grove based outfit as Felipe Massa is locked into a three year contract while Valtteri Bottas is likely to stay at the team.

Nasr has confirmed that he would prefer to stay in GP2 next season instead of driving for a back marker team in F1. If Nasr wins the GP2 championship the Brazilian will have to leave the sport as he will have graduated from the F1 feeder series and another year involved with the Williams Martini Racing team would be ideal for the Brazilian as more seats may become available in 2016 including a possible drive with the Haas Formula.
