Lewis Hamilton topped the time-sheets at a damp Barcelona Circuit de Catalunya this morning the second in-season test got underway this morning. The Spanish Grand Prix race winner completed 27 lap's this morning and set a time 1m 44.291s just 0.798s ahead of Williams Martini Racing's Felipe Massa who completed 19 laps for the Grove based team.
Red Bull Racing's test and reserve driver Sebastian Buemi was third fastest for the Milton Keynes outfit on his way to completing 23 laps.
Jenson Button put his difficult weekend behind him to finish the morning session in fourth place for McLaren just ahead of Force India' Nico Hulkenberg who completed 13 lap's.
Marussia's Max Chilton was fifth fastest for the Banbury based outfit despite completing just four laps.
Kamui Kobayashi was 6th fastest for the Caterham F1 Team just ahead of the Sauber F1 Team's Giedo Van Der Garde who has been praised by his boss. Monisha Keltenborn has been extremely impressed with the Dutch drivers progress since joining the team.
Three driver's failed to set a time this morning, Charles Pic, testing for the Lotus F1 Team completed seven laps for the Enstone team. Jean Ric Vergne stopped out on track in his Toro Rosso as did Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen as the Finn stopped out on track only managing to complete lap's.
Testing continues this afternoon as the weather is set to improve.
