Ferrari chassis technical director James Allison has stated that Kimi Raikkonen will be back to his best with the team soon following the Finn's difficult start to his return to the Italian team. Allison, who worked alongside Raikkonen when the pair were at the Lotus F1 Team told the team's official website:
'Kimi is working extremely well with the team, collaborating with the engineers, helping us to drive this car forwards. He has class written all over him and in a very short space of time, I’m sure we will also see the results of that on the track.'
Allison also said that the Italian team are in a position to deliver updates to every Grand Prix that will enable them to improve the performance of the F14T starting with this weekend's opening European race of the season at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
The Englishman also said that the circuit in Barcelona is the perfect track to test their car and to get a good comparison. Ferrari go into this weekend's race off the back of a strong podium finish for Fernando Alonso last time out in China three weeks ago.
Allison was also full of praise for Alonso who won his home event last season:
'With Fernando we’ve seen an extraordinary level of performance, scavenging every possible point at every possible opportunity.'
