Newey remains committed to Red Bull Racing

(Guardian.com)

Infiniti Red Bull Racing's chief designer Adrian Newey has confirmed that he is committed to the Milton Keynes based team for the foreseeable future putting an end to speculation of a shock move to Ferrari. However, in Spain two weeks ago, Newey was more open as the 55 year old said:

'There are always rumours, aren't there? What can I say? It's the silly season. We're all under contract, so at some point I've got to think about the future but my focus at the moment is trying to get back on top of those silver cars.'

Newey has been with Red Bull Racing since joining the team from McLaren in February 2006 and has played an instrumental role in the Milton Keynes based out-fits recent dominance of F1, winning four championships on the bounce from 2010 - 2013.

Newey has been very vocal of the new regulations that have been introduced for the 2014 season and his team have struggled to get on terms with the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg currently leading the championship. However it is expected that in Monaco this weekend the team will be closer to the back of the Mercedes.

In recent season's in Formula One there has been an awful lot of speculation surrounding the movements of technical personnel with the likes of Pat Symonds joins the Williams Martini Racing Team and James Allison joining Ferrari from the Lotus F1 Team last season.
