The Lotus F1 Team have confirmed that Total, the team's fuel supplier will provide them with a new fuel mixture for the next race in Monte Carlo this weekend.
The Enstone outfit are hopeful that the new fuel from the Total along with some new parts to be put on the E22 will help the team to improve their performance and what they hope will lead to them scoring more points in Monaco following Romain Grosjean's 8th place finish last time out in Barcelona. Lotus technical director Nick Chester said:
'Other new parts will help tune the car for the bumpy and low speed track characteristics. The parts we've tested so far look good and we'll also have a new fuel from Total which should further improve power and driveability.'
Lotus saw a dramatic improvement in their qualifying performances from China to Barcelona. In China, Romain Grosjean qualified in 10th place and failed to finish the race. However in Barcelona, the Frenchman qualified in 5th place and finished the race in 8th place.
At last year's race in Monaco, the Lotus pair of Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean qualified in 5th and 13th respectively.
The team will be hoping for another points scoring event this weekend and there is no better place to score points then the Monaco Grand Prix.
