Dennis and Alonso have unfinished business

(McLaren-Honda)

McLaren Group Chairman Ron Dennis has stated that Fernando Alonso needs to prove that

'A - That he's an absolute winner, that the easy bit, and two that he can reiterate with the team.

Dennis was speaking at a media event at McLaren Honda's Woking HQ where it was announced this morning that Fernando Alonso will partner Jenson Button next season.

Fernando Alonso stated that leaving Ferrari was a tough decision for him to make but that he feels that with his return to McLaren it is the best place for him to secure his third Formula One championship and that he is 'extremely honored to be part of this partnership.'

Meanwhile Sky Sports F1 pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz believes McLaren have gone for the 'safe option' with Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button and he believes its the right decision.
