Dennis is not majority shareholder at McLaren

McLaren have denied reports that group Chairman Ron Dennis is now the majority shareholder of the Woking based outfit.

Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone reported earlier this week that Mr Dennis has bought some shares from Bahrain investment group Mumtalakat, and in doing so regaining full control of the company.

Ron Dennis currently owns 25 percent of the company while his business partner Mansour Ojjeh and his company TAG also owns 25 percent of the company.

Mumtalakat own 50 percent of the team. The spokesperson confirmed that discussions have taken place, however no transactions or deals have been done.

The main aim right now is to find the best way for the company to move forward for its future. McLaren finished the 2014 Formula One season in fifth place in the Constructors championship, om 181 points, 35 behind Scuderia Ferrari.
