Hamilton out of qualifying after suspected brake failure

Mercedes Lewis Hamilton is out of qualifying after a huge crash as a result of a suspected brake failure. The session was red flagged for nine minute's as repair work was carried out on the tyre wall at turn 12.

Hamilton came over the radio to the team sounding a little winded but fortunately the 2008 world champion was ok and has been brought to the medical centre for precautionary checks.

Mercedes have just confirmed that Hamilton suffered a front right brake disc failure.
