The Marussia F1 Team have stated that they are wary of the potential threat poised by the Sauber F1 Team following the F1 Summer break. The Banbury based outfit are currently in 9th place in the Constructors championship on two points following Jules Bianchi's 9th place finish at the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this season.

Speaking to the Press Association Max Chilton has said that the team would love to hold onto 9th place in the Constructors championship.

The Marussia F1 Team are working extremely hard to stay ahead of the Swiss based outfit who showed an improvement in their race pace last time out at the Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend where Adrian Sutil finished the race in eleventh place just behind McLaren's Jenson Button.

Chilton also believes that the Caterham F1 Team could find it difficult to chatch Marussia due to the fact that they have recently been taken over and he believes that like with any sport changes take time to implement. Chilton also revealed that without constant updates being brought to the car it will be difficult for the team to maintain 9th place.

The team have a major upgrade package coming for the Singapore Grand Prix however the two Grand Prix in Belgium in just over three week's time and the following race in Monza, Italy are high speed circuit's which could hurt the Banbury based outfit.
