Ferrari team boss Marco Mattiacci has confirmed that his team have a huge amount of work to do to ensure that they are competitive for the 2015 season following a disappointing 2014 campaign which has so far yielded just two podium finishes which came at the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai circuit in April while their second podium came at the last race in Hungary.

At the Hungaroring last weekend Ferrari had their best combined result of second place for Fernando Alonso while Kimi Raikkonen finished the race in 6th place.

Ferrari confirmed a reshuffle within their engine department yesterday and Marco Mattiacci has now revealed that the team need to improve the car in all area's and not just with the power unit. Mattiacci is being very cautious and has said that the team must not put too much weight on the second place finish for Alonso.

Mattiacci has been delighted with the fantastic job that Kimi Raikkonen did in Hungary and that he is now back. The Finn has struggled with the F14-T so far this season and had it not been for a mix up in qualifying the Finn would have been right up there competing with Alonso for a podium but did a fantastic job to come from 16th on the grid to finis the race in sixth place.
