Pit boards also affected by communication ban

(Mercedes AMG F1 Team)

Following the news last week that certain radio communications in Formula One between the teams and their driver's have been banned under article 20.1 of the Formula One Sporting Regulations which states that a driver must drive the car alone and unaided the FIA has contacted all teams with a fresh directive.

The latest message from the FIA states that the communication relating to performance information to do with car via the pit boards is also banned. The new crackdown comes into affect from this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix.

The teams will still be allowed to show information relating to the gaps between drivers, tyre choices for the following race stint, car damage warnings aswell as warnings that the Safety Car has been deployed.
