(Williams Martini Racing Team)

The Williams Martini Racing Team have surpassed their own expectations this season following a fantastic year to date which has seen the Grove based outfit finish all race's so far this season in the points. The outfit have also scored five podium finishes and one front row lock-out which came at the Austrian Grand Prix earlier this season.

Williams Martini Racing are currently in third place in the Constructors championship, 15 points ahead Ferrari following yet another podium finish for the team as Felipe Massa took his first podium finish for the team.

Despite their great season in 2014 Williams deputy team principal Claire Williams has stated that the team have surpassed their own expectations this season however the team remain unsatisfied and are looking for more success. She is hopeful that the team will be in a position to challenge for the championship next season as they aim to build on their performance from this season.

Speaking about the her teams revival, Williams commented:

'We’ve always had a long-term plan when we pushed the reset button last year. We’ve turned the team more significantly around than we thought we would have done, Going from ninth to fourth [before Monza] and then hopefully battling on from third. It’s a significant turnaround, but it’s always been when we hit that reset button about winning another World Championship – and not just one, hopefully more after that as well. So that’s the plan and now the work is going in to try and achieve that.'

The teams main focus this weekend is to remain in third place in the Constructors championship and extend their advantage over Ferrari.

At the last night race in Bahrain earlier this season the team finished the race in 7th and 8th place however they will be hoping to continue their current run of form from the Italian Grand Prix last time out.
