Kimi Raikkonen has said that he has the belief that Ferrari can turn their season around and challenge at the front following the Italian teams difficult start to the 2014 season. Raikkonen heads to the Chinese Grand Prix next weekend in 12th place in the driver's championship following a disappointing Bahrain Grand Prix where he finished in 10th place.
However, the Finn has said that the team 'are not stupid' and know what needs to be done for them to return to the front of the grid. The Italian team are currently 5th in the Constructors champion just three point's ahead of the Williams Martini Racing Team such has been the dominance of the Mercedes powered teams but most noticeably the works team with Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg at the wheel.
Raikkonen can take some comfort in the fact that where Ferrari currently find themselves struggling they are in a stronger position then his former team Lotus, who has suffered a number of reliability problems with their new car and are yet to get a point on the board where at this stage last season they had secured a victory where Raikkonen had won in Australia.
Ferrari have the resources needed to return to the front of Formula One and if they are not challenging for the podium in China, you can be certain that they will be in a position to do so by the start of the European season in Barcelona next month.
