Ricciardo - Red Bull have apologised

(Eric Vargiolu - DPPI Renault Sport F1)

Red Bull Racing's Daniel Ricciardo has confirmed the team have apologised to him following their failed appeal against the Australian's disqualification from 2nd place in his home race at the start of the season.

Ricciardo said that he understood that the cost for the team financially in appealing the disqualification was very high and that he was grateful to the outfit for attempting to overturn the decision.

He also said however that it is now time to move on from that incident and he is now fully focussed on the job at hand which is to get the best result possible for Red Bull in the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday. The Australian, who finished ahead of his team mate Sebastian Vettel last time out in Bahrain has targeted a podium finish on Sunday.

Following his 4th place finish in Bahrain, Ricciardo is currently in 10th place in Driver's championship so will be hopeful of a strong result as Red Bull are steadily improving the performance of the RB10.
