Siroktin set to be granted Super Licence

The Sauber F1 Team's Sergey Siroktin is set to receive his FIA Super Licence after completing the necessary mileage in the C33 to be granted the licence. Siroktin completed 300KM while testing for the Swiss based squad during the opening day of in-season testing at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain yesterday.

The news comes as a boost for the Russian as it now means that the he will be able to participate in official Grand Prix event's such as Friday Practice session's.

Meanwhile, in other Sauber F1 Team news, their Affiliated driver Simona De Silvestro has been at the Swiss teams Hinwil HQ for a seat fitting as the former IndyCar star continues her preparations for her Formula One debut.

De Silvestro joined the team in February and is extremely excited about 'achieving her dream' of driving a Formula One car. The Swiss driver is not the only female driver involved in Formula One as Susie Wolff is currently the Williams Martini Racing Team.
