Ferrari DID NOT approach Newey

(Guardian.com)

Ferrari team boss Marco Mattiacci has once again denied reports that the Italian outfit approached Red Bull Racing chief technical officer Adrian Newey about a big money move to Maranello. Speaking to Autosport Mattiacci said:

'As I said in Monte Carlo we never contacted Adrian. It's good that he continues to work with Red Bull.'

It was announced last weekend that Newey had committed his future to Red Bull however will taking a back seat from the F1 team from next season but will work on the design of next season's RB11.

Mattiacci also said recently that the team were not looking to hire new technical staff despite their poor start to the 2014 championship.
