McLaren Mercedes have withdrawn the threat of legal action against world champions Infiniti Red Bull Racing in relation to the services of aerodynamist Dan Fallows. In April, Red Bull announced that Fallows, who had previously left the team had re joined as their new head of aerodynamics despite havig an agreement in place to join McLaren.

As a result, McLaren chairman Ron Dennis confirmed that he was consulting with the company's legal department however in Montreal on Sunday, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner said:

'I have a handshake with Mr Dennis which, being a gentleman and a man of his word, means we have an understanding.'

It has been reported that as part of the agreement between Horner and Dennis, Red Bull have agreed to release Peter Pedromou from his duties at Red Bull early so that he would be free to start work at Woking however Horner has refused to comment on this report.

Red Bull Racing will be hoping to hold onto Pedromou for as long as possible following the news yesterday that chief technical officer Adrian Newey will step back from the Austrian teams Formula One operation from the start of next season.
