New Formula One entrant Gene Haas has confirmed that his new team will be in a position to announce who their power unit supplier will be in 'a matter of weeks' revealing that he is in advanced talks with a supplier.
Haas announced prior to the Canadian Grand Prix last weekend that he would delay entering Formula One until 2016 to allow extra time for him to prepare for their Formula One debut having initially targeted racing in 2015.
Haas also revealed that aswell as having Haas Formula's main HQ behind his NASCAR operation in Carolina that the team would also have a European base located in the United Kingdom after revealing that there were various complications in relation to setting up a company in Italy which is where he had wanted to base the team.
Haas was spotted in the Ferrari garage at the Canadian Grand Prix however he revealed that the company is in talks with a number of manufacturers in relation to a supply of power units.
The fact that the team are waiting a year to enter Formula One gives them the opportunity to hit the ground running and to be competitive right from the world go.
