Vettel will bounce back to his best

(Frederic Le Floc'h DPPI for Renault Sport F1)

Reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel's former team mate Mark Webber believs that the German will soon be back at the top of the sport after a difficult start to the defense of his world championship. Vettel is currently in 5th place in the Driver's championship, 80 point's behind championship leader Nico Rosberg.

Webber, who left Red Bull Racing and Formula One at the end of last season was speaking after competing in his first LeMans 24 Hours since 1999 spoke about Daniel Ricciardo to Fairfax Media saying:

'I am not surprised about Daniel Ricciardo, I said before Melbourne that he would be 50:50 with Seb and everyone said I was crazy, but Seb will be there again - he just needs some time to deal with the car. For Seb, it's difficult at the moment because Mercedes are the absolute favourites.

Webber concluded by saying

'The last few races have been pretty good to Seb, but he hasn't had the rub of the green. So he will draw from that. He knows his day will come.'

Vettel has scored two podium finishes in the opening seven Grand Prix of the season compared to Ricciardo's three podium finishes. Vettel has also retired from two Grand Prix this season and has just been unlucky in the opening Grand Prix of the season however, there is still an extremely long way to go in the 2014 season.
