Schumacher medical data stolen

(Mercedes AMG F1 Team)

Confidential medical data reportedly relating to Michael Schumacher have been offered for sale according the seven time world champions management team have said. In a statement, Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm said:

'For several days stolen documents and data are being offered for sale. The offerer claims them to be the medical file of Michael Schumacher. We cannot judge if these documents are authentic. However, the documents are clearly stolen. The theft has been reported.'

It was confirmed last week that Michael Schumacher had emerged from his medically induced coma following his skiing accident in France last year and released from the hospital in Grenoble where he was being treated. He has now been moved to rehabilitation facility in Switzerland. Kehm went on to say:

'We will therefore, in every single case, press for criminal charges and damages against any publication of the content or reference to the medical file'.
