Mercedes need to extend the gap to Red Bull

Mercedes AMG F1 Team's Nico Rosberg has told the team that their car must be completely 'bulletproof' if the outfit want to stay ahead of Infiniti Red Bull Racing for the rest of the 2014 Formula One season. 

The German started last weekend's Canadian Grand Prix from pole position and was on course for another win in 2014 but suffered a drop in power. As a result of the issue Rosberg soon found himself being hunted down by Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo who caught and overtook the current championship leader.

Lewis Hamilton was forced to retire from the Grand Prix as a result of of his brake's overheating which was his second DNF of the season. Rosberg, who despite his issue finished the race in second place to extend his championship lead to 22 point's over Lewis Hamilton. Rosberg has now stated that the team need to get back to winning ways next weekend in Austria where he is hoping that the team can score another 1-2 finish.

The Brackley based squad have a point's cushion of 119 over Infiniti Red Bull Racing.
