McLaren Honda’s Fernando Alonso will take centre stage at
this afternoon’s FIA Drivers Press Conference ahead of Sunday’s Spanish Grand
Prix at the Barcelona Circuit De Catalunya.
Last time out in Bahrain the Spaniard came within a hare’s
breathe of scoring McLaren-Honda’s first point of the season as he ended the
race in eleventh place. Alonso will be joined at the press conference by
Infiniti Red Bull Racing’s Daniil Kvyat who will be looking to continue his
points scoring run following his ninth place.
Manor Marussia’s Roberto Merhi will also attend the press
conference ahead of his home race for the Ferrari powered team.
The Sauber F1 Team’s Felipe Nasr will also attend the press
conference as the Brazilian aims to score more points for the Swiss based
outfit on Sunday. Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Nico Rosberg will also be at
the press conference as he aims to score his first race win of the season and
bring to an end his team mate Lewis Hamilton’s current dominance.
It is also a home Grand Prix this weekend for Scuderia Toro
Rosso’s Carlos Sainz who has made a great start to his Formula One career and
will be hoping to score points on Sunday. The Spaniard will also attend the
press conference.
On Friday, the Team Principal’s press conference will be
attended by technical personnel from a number of teams. The Lotus F1 Team’s Nick
Chester, Sauber’s Giampaolo Dall’Ara, Mercedes Paddy Lowe, Paul Monaghan from
Infiniti Red Bull Racing, Jonathan Neale from McLaren Honda and Williams
Martini Racing’s Rob Smedley will all attend the press conference.
The Drivers press conference gets underway at 1PM (UK time)
while the Team Principal’s press conference gets underway at 2PM (UK time).
