Formula One is set to introduce customer cars and more
engines to teams. Top management and senior management from the teams met at Briggin
Hill in the UK on Thursday to discuss the future of the sport.
There have been no details released about what went on at
the meeting but the Guardian newspaper have reported that Mercedes, Red Bull,
Ferrari and McLaren have been given the go ahead to supply other teams with
cars and power units.
Senior management from Scuderia Ferrari, Mercedes, Infiniti
Red Bull Racing, Williams, McLaren and the Sahara Force India Formula One Team
were all in attendance at the meeting.
The idea of customer cars will be assessed by Ferrari,
Mercedes, Infiniti Red Bull Racing and McLaren to see whether or not it would
be feasible to introduce customer cars.
