Rahal hopeful Letterman will attend more races

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing co-owner and Team Principal Bobby Rahal is hopeful that talk show host David Letterman will attend more Verizon IndyCar races in the future.

David Letterman will retire from the Late Show on Friday after 33 years at the helm and Rahal is hoping that the 68 year old and his business partner will make it to the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.

Rahal and Letterman created their team Rahal Letterman Racing in 1996 and in 2005 the pair brought Danica Patrick into IndyCar and at the 2005 Indianapolis 500, Patrick became the first female racing driver to lead the world’s biggest motor racing event.

Today Rahal Letterman now have another partner in the team as Michael Lanigan is now a part owner in the team and is now known as Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
