Scuderia Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen has stated that his friendly rivalry with team mate Sebastian Vettel is helping the Prancing Horse to move forward.

Raikkonen finished the Bahrain Grand Prix last time out on the podium in second place behind race winner Lewis Hamilton while Sebastian Vettel finished the race in fourth place. Raikkonen has had a strong start to the season with two fourth place finishes and his first podium finish since the 2013 Korean Grand Prix.

Raikkonen has credited new Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene’s influence on the outfit for the turnaround in the Prancing Horse’s fortunes in 2015 following a tough season in 2014. The Iceman told CNN that he likes how Arrivabene runs things.

Raikkonen went on to say that Arrivabene is straightforward and when he is asked something it is a simple yes or no and that there is nothing in-between.

Arrivabene is very fair and if something is wrong the hard working Italian will let the team know. Raikkonen concluded by saying that everything inside the team is great and they working to get Ferrari into a position where they are challenging for victory at every race.
