New Formula One Team owner Gene Haas has refused to rule out
Danica Patrick for a Formula One seat next season following after the former
IndyCar driver will lose her title sponsor GoDaddy.com at the end of the
season.
Haas revealed that he is thankful to GoDaddy for giving them
the opportunity to find a new sponsor for Patrick and he revealed that they
should have no problems finding a new sponsor for her as she is highly
marketable.
The Haas F1 Team will join the Formula One grid in 2016 and
if they were able to bring Patrick into the sport it would be a major boost not
only for the team but also for the American outfit themselves. Haas revealed
that Patrick is a very valuable person to have in a team but believes that it
could be difficult for her to make the move over to Formula One.
Haas has also revealed that Patrick is not the only American
driver in the running for a seat with the Haas F1 Team.
The team who are based in both Charlotte, North Carolina and
Banbury, Oxfordshire will make a decision over their driver line up over the
summer. The teams new power unit supplier Ferrari will have absolutely no input
in the driver line up at the team.
