Haas F1 Team Principal Gunther Steiner has stated that the
new entrant to the sport who will make their Grand Prix debut in 2016 are not a
Ferrari B team.
Steiner revealed that the Italian manufacturer are a good
partner who are helping Haas to get into Formula One and that they have not
spoken about the driver line up and Haas will not have Ferrari young driver and
current Sauber F1 Team test driver Raffaele Marciello.
Steiner, who previously worked in Formula One with Red Bull
Racing and Jaguar has said that Ferrari are just a technical and power unit
supplier to the American team. The outfit’s preparations for next season are
well and truly underway as they have secured a European HQ having purchased the
former Manor Marussia F1 Team facility in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
The team also have their main facility next to their Stewart
Haas NASCAR team in Charlotte, North Carolina.
