Marussia's Max Chilton believes that the collision he had with Kimi Raikkonen during the safety car period at the Monaco Grand Prix last time out cost him the chance to score points for the Banbury based outfit. Chilton was attempting to unlap himself when he ran into the back of Raikkonen which resulted in a broken front wing for the Englishman while it cost Kimi Raikkonen a podium. Speaking ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix Chilton said:

'You pass the safety car line twice and normally Charlie [Whiting] gives the message that the cars can now overtake the cars in front, I came in to Turn 1 [Sainte Devote] and asked my engineer, 'when are we going to be allowed to overtake the cars in front?

Chilton continued:

'By the time I got to Casino my engineer said 'OK, now overtake'. So I came out of Casino, following Kimi and I stayed to the right, the whole way down into Mirabeau.'

Chilton went on to finish the race in 14th place, 3 lap's down while Raikkonen finished the event in 12th place.

Marussia finished the race in 9th place with Jules Bianchi collecting two point's for the team. Chilton admitted to being left a little frustrated that Raikkonen had not seen him.
